Kelmscott

A little wile ago I visited a place called Kelmscott , it is famous for being the home of William Morris. My fife has a liking for some of his designs as we have curtains made from the Strawberry Thief Fabric. Kelmscott is not an easy place to get to but it is worth the effort if you do.

Before going in the house we had a cup of tea on the lawn here

which is made in the small cafeteria here and most of it is home made

on the back wall you can see some of his designs
and in the garden a mulberry tree which gave him some of the inspiration.

No doubt he wandered round looking a all the plants

or even along here

The tree can be seen from the house through the windows

I doubt the roses along here were there then

but no doubt these wheels were on a cart at the house
and the apple trees which were in blossom
If you would like to see more of my trip to Kelmscott then visit my other Blog which is a bit more in depth . Taking part in Our World Tuesday

It looks like the perfect day for a cuppa on the patio. Wish our days were looking more like that.
