Asylum Mural

This mural was on the wall of a ward in a derelict asylum which closed in 2003, the place has since been converted into flats so it no longer around. If you want to see more  of where it was then read about Faringdon Ward

Even the idea of asylums scares me somehow. This mural certainly doesn't make me think "asylum", but I guess that's the point.
PS: Thanks for the link, it was interesting.

What an interesting place but, I have to agree with Tanya. I'd have second thoughts about living there.

I like the idea of the asylum allowing their patients to paint on the walls. Good therapy.

It's bright and cheerful, like you might see in a nursery school.

At least they tried to make what must have been a dreary place more lovely. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
