Chaple Mural

I came across this mural in a chapel at a place called the Vyne in Hampshire. The Chapel is Tudor and Henry VIII was known to have stayed there and no doubt went to the chapel here. The hose and chapel will be featured in a couple of my other blogs in the near future. I will be also showing more murals from round the House. The photos were taken with my  compact camera as I did not expect to need my Tripod.

These are high on the chapel walls  and I think amazing though I could not tell you the age. The mural is reflected the other side but with out the figures

Nice mural. If you can't pay it just paint it. A common practice even today in architecture.

I don't think I'd want to be up that high painting a mural. Thanks for visiting my Girl in the Cornfield.

I didn't expect to see the fan vaults painted onto the walls. Very cool. Thanks, Bill, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

Wow! At first, I thought the windows were real. They're in wonderful condition for being several hundred years old.

Gorgeous craftmanship in the murals and the architecture.
