A mural with a difference this week I hope you like it.
A few weeks ago while in Wallingford I noticed a scooter drive past & park up in the square along with a few others. Well I can't pass them with out taking a photo as I used to won one. This one took my eye, it was a tribute to Amy Winehouse.

Nice scooter. Amy Winehouse, such a tragic life she lead, so much talent gone to waste.
Granted she could sing and she wasted her life but she was never a favorite of mine may be it was how she lived put me off.
Nice.
Thanks Andy
I can imagine it cought your attention. This is a very special tribute to Amy.
Great ! My lucky number in gold on a car.
Best regards, Synnöve
I am wondering what kind of owner has such a scooter. Nice but also a bit morbide.
A rather tasteful tribute.
I thought so too
Not a car Synnöve but nice to see your lucky number somewhere.
A fan no doubt with his own personal tibute
I thought it was good
Nice photos!
I am very happy with my camera, Bill!
Greetings, SK
It's totally fabulous Bill.. What an amazing paint job! She was a tragic soul but I actually really loved her voice ..
Thank you, these were done with my Phone, did not have my camera with me
I thought the same as you but I'm told by the scooter rider I had been talking to that it was a wrap, but hay I'm not complaining I thought it was brilliant.
A nice tribute. She had such a wonderful talent.
wow, what an awesome find! she was very talented...such a sad story...
I thought it was great
Very sad she wasted her life away
How interesting. Someone was obviously a big fan.
That is an expensive paint job! Awesome find!
Such a tragic life...
That is quite an image. I never listened to Amy Winehouse and would have not have recognized her from the bike "mural." An interesting tribute to a life of sadness.
Yes they were, I loved it
No it's a photo wrap IE vinyl
Yes it was Birgitta very tragic
I think it all depends on what music you listen to, I tend to like listening to the latest music in the charts and she was always in the news over here. She was a good singer not taking it away from her. A bit like a modern day Janice Joplin
Hari Om
Fine to all the above...meanwhile, great takes!! Edinburgh cold and grey, but I'm here at last!! YAM xx
Unique.
I like it !
Good glad you got there safe
It is that, first I have seen like it
Definitely different! The art work is great. I just read something about how so many different rock stars have died at age 27. That's kinda' weird and definitely sad, such a waste.
Good one, Bill! It was a great loss when she died.
Amazing photos of such a unique piece of mobile art....
Dying of alcohol poisoning does not sound like a happy person. Addiction comes with so many attendant problems that suffering seems to trump the day. I wished she could have gotten a hold on her demons and lived to develop her incredible voice.
Oops, forgot to say that I liked the image and am pleased you decided to link with this week's Monday Mural.
Very true, too many die young and wasted
Thank you Susie, I took them on the phone
Thank you Pat
Drink is a hard habit to kick when it gets hold, I found it hard but managed now I prefer to have a cup of tea or coffee. Much as I was not a fan of hers it was a great waste of life & talent
No problem it is a favorite of mine
Such a tragedy. I think that's a wonderful tribute.
I thought it was very cool of them
Hi Bill, just spotted this great photo of my scooter taken by you in Wallingford .
I thought I should maybe explain my thoughts behind the design. The theme is my humble tribute to a women who I consider to one of the greatest female vocalists of my time and also to her massive contribution to music.
When asked in an interview by Harpers Bazaar - "do you have any unfulfilled ambitions?"
Amy replied "Nope!" ... "If I died tomorrow, I would be a happy girl."
She will always be forever 27 in my heart.
Your welcome Micky. I had a GT200 back in 1971 and loved it till I nearly got killed on it one morning going to work. Girlfriend was not impressed so the scooter went. I got rid of the wrong thing. Snice then I still have a love of Lambrettas and the designs on them. Yours was one that stood out even though I was never keen on her antics she could sing. Your bike is also on Flickr as well. Hope to see it around again some time.
