Some blossom to brighten your day

Taken on different days

 Blossom near Blooms cottage

Bluebells always bring a smile

No blossom here just showing the pylons disappearing into the distance

Not the effect I hoped with this one

This one is up on the estate

This was taken out the back of my garden.

Village sky

Some different view round the village when I took the dog for a walk a different way by going ta place we call Silly Bridge and taking a path to the Station.

I took this view on the way to the path, the powerlines you see went in back in the 1960's, from where the second stops it runs underground over the hill and out the other side where you can just see the other pylon

This is where we started from though I admit I took it a few days later when we went along the track again

About half way down I topped and took this view towards the village

A little further and this looks at the village

The looks down the path, just by the farm it closes in to an ally with hedging either side

Looking back the way we came

The end or the start which ever you want but the first hundred yards or so from here are like that and you have to put up with a dog barking through the fence.

Sky on the downs

By downs I mean the Berkshire downs as I know it. I went out to get some photos the other day for a website I go on and these are some of the shots I took. The landscape is quite boring so don't expect stunning shots

All the photos are taken outside a village called Blewbury. This view is looking back to the village

This way is to the direction of where I come from which is some where center the other side of the hills

Looking along the road uphill

Different place this time, the road here takes you to a place called Churn

The place is called Rose Cottage

The place in the distance is called the Kennels, not sure if that is what is there though

The hill to the right is called Church Knob

Odd name this New Buildings. That's it for now

This week the Church Explorer visits St Mary the Virgin the first of four churches in Buckinghamshire. This one came up with some nice surprises and a Historic connection to the Charge of the Light Brigade.

First Sunset of 2026

12th February started out quite dreary

The daffodils brightened the morning up

The evening turned out much better

The sunset quite spectacular

With bright hues after it had gone down

The clouds looked to be rolling in
