Watch the Birdie

Which is just what I do occasionally out of the patio doors at the bird feeder.

We get Goldfinches feeding on the sunflower hearts

One waits it's turn on the feeder

Two feed while a third waits on a branch

Two looking though I think they just dropped some seeds

Getting a bird in flight is not easy so I was surprised to see this in my photos

Looking this way

And that
Take Care

What a pretty bird. So very different from the American goldfinches.

They look SO unlike our goldfinches. I always do a double-take when I see these birds identified that way.

Such beautiful goldfinches you have there. As NCSue wrote they are so unlike our goldfinches here. Lovely photos. (NewRobin13)

I do like goldfinch. Don't see them that much in my garden but they are a frequent visitor in my daughter's garden.

Goldfinches are lovely visitors and you've captured these so clearly. I especially like the photo of the one in flight.
