Dewy Cobwebs

Last week we had some cold fogy mornings, going out on the patios I noticed some dew on the cobwebs, I thought lets get a few photos of them and went and got my phone

This old gate had dew on the cobweb that had formed droplets

 They looked like little jewels

The metal work had drops forming on them

And a rose branch had another

Getting out a macro lens on my DSLR I got even closer to the droplets which had formed spheres and reflected my Greenhouse

One of the roses had a droplet by a thorn which when you looked closer had a cobweb on the end with a smaller droplet of dew on it

Dew forming on another rose branch

Even the clematis leaves had droplets on

That's it for this week. Take care

The Wallingford Bypass

I do not normally post on  Monday other than the evening for the Meme's I follow but I have bee updating a few of the blogs on Spuds Rural Exportations which were linked to the Flickr account I deleted. I soon found out that there were more blogs linked to it than I thought. I have updated the blogs with new photo's added and I am gradually working my way through the ones which need doing. The Wallingford Bypass was built during 1992-93 and since being opened had had traffic flowing on it non stop. The link shows how the bypass was built and was the fist time I ever documented any type of project like this and was taken using a Pentax ME super.

Above the road back in December 2019. I have also updated the blog Scotlands Secret Bunker. This is a one of the many cold war bunkers and dates back to the 1960's. It is now a museum which is worth a visit if you are near Dundee.

Brecons in the Distance

These were taken a few weeks ago when my Wife & I went to our caravan in Wales just before the lockdown they had. On the way up hill to a village called Bwlch we had to stop at traffic lights because of road resurfaceing. I looked out the side window and took in this view. Well my phone was in easy reach so I took a photo the realised there was a shrub in the way.

I managed to seek a couple of foot forward and stopped then too another shot of the view, this time it looked better. Just a pity I could not get out and go to the fence

You are looking towards the Brecon Beacons and I think the high part is Pen Cerrig-calch

We had a last walk when we got to our destination and the cows just watched us go past

Winter Garden

Before I start how many of you are becoming frustrated with this new blogger. I have been trying to updates some old blogs on my Rural Explorations and find the photos and commentary I write go where they want. You cannot place a portrait photo side by side in large format any more. If you place a photo to one side with commentary on the other it either does not let you or has to go under the photo. Now a new blog I was starting to write just vanished when I clicked the back button. I'm at the stage of just throwing it in and finding another format to use. Why the developers could not leave it as it was I cannot understand, do they do not understand if it is not broke don't fix it.

Back to something more pleasant things.

While we are now three weeks into a four week lockdown here in England and have been wondering what to write but then looked in the garden for inspiration and there it was straining me in the face. So off I went with my iPhone and got some pictures.

It all looks quite grim on the patio with everything dormant or is it

The magnolia has fluffy buds on it

This Saliva still has flowers and leaves growing on it

This rose has buds crowing new branches on

The clematis was only planted this year and is growing well

It has even got buds growing

There is even a rose growing still in one of the pots

Tokyo Crowds

Having to troll my archive this week and taking you back to Tokyo for some photos I took around the city in my weekend off from working, the place always seemed to be crowded. You will have to bare with me as I really do not have a clue where I was in the city. All the photos were taken back in the 1980s so as you can guess are scanned

Think this must have been some fairground type attraction judging my the kids around it

The guy I went with fro the company I worked at stood out (denim shirt & jeans) among everyone while on his left the agent who was showing us around looked for attractions

We were in a car driving to the place we were working when a bunch of school girls crossed the road

I was told what this building was but the thing on top looks like a sperm wiggling. Looks like the scouts are collecting on the corner

Some places were very crowded
Others not so bad you can even seem my friend in the black shirt walking behind a couple of the agents guiding us
These ladies were making tea and serving it to other ladies sat at the tables, sort of tea in the park
Take care everyone

There are alway clouds

I can always find something for Skywatch and if all else fails there are all ways clouds and the other day when I was in the garden I saw some beautiful ones

Looking from the garden North East

Looking up a Red kite soared with out a care

The Red Kites played  their games (there is one behind the tree)
Looking toe South West
Looking West
Finally North
Take Care
