It is so interesting to see the river a year apart. You are getting so much rain there. Sure hope there's a dry spell in the future so everything can recede to more average levels.

DeleteReally interesting photos Bill. Despite our beautiful sunny Summer, the ground is still saturated and I don't think this is the end of high water levels and flooding.

You seem to have had much of all that lately in England even if the levels show more water for last year.
In Brittany -France, they also have their feet deep in deep overflows from heavy rains.

Does not matter the time of year, if we have heavy rain it floods. Too many houses and not enough dranage

Oh yes your right there. If you look up the pillar in the first photo you can see a flood line from back in the 1800's
