Fungi on the Apple tree


Been linking up with another blog lately so have been missing out on Macro Monday well this week I'm joining back again. This week I am showing some fungus which I found growing on an old apple tree in our garden.

    1. Yes I thought so as well, tree is dying so will be getting cut down soon

  2. It looks like the tree has a fancy skirt on but when you think about it, fungus is kind of scary stuff in all of it's many forms.

  9. Nice angles of the mushrooms. The way they look and crinkle makes me think of crispy bacon. I wonder if they're edible.

    1. I've lived in the place 28 years and the tree was old then, think it could be part of an old orchard that was here.
