A photo from 1966
This photo was taken by my Father back around 1966 at Bovingdon Tank Museum, since then I always wanted to go back and visit again
I just realized you were asking why we were leaving our home and not why I was leaving Stoughton! We plan to sell our house and become full time rv'ers when we retire. I have no interest in having a permanent home now that the kids are grown, wish I was leaving today!
Hari OM Oh my word I am a mass of goosebumps Bill... I have been there with my father but it was 1972! I recall it having a lot of 'feeling'...(it was one of those crazy camping trips of 4xkids ages 4-14 and two adults in a Dormobile campervan......oh yeah!)
Gosh I still wonder at grown men submitting themselves to such enclosed spaces - these and submarines.
I note the sky in both photos is tending to cloudy and cloudier! That, you and the similar model tanks all tying time into one moment. Love it!! YAM xx
I remember them a, still see them around. http://www.flickr.com/photos/spuduka/8603498749/sizes/c/in/set-72157633123929429/ This one was a bit of a squeeze getting in
Sometimes when we finally go back to a place, it isn't as great as we'd thought the first time...but from the look on your face, this must have been even better than the first visit. And that's wonderful!!!
