On Friday I promised I would show you what was on the duck house in the photo, you can see it at the end of this little story
I took my 400mm lens with me to get a few photos of the swans I had herd were nesting on the lake. First thing I spotted was a coot
The swans were feeding so no luck there
Next day I did not bring by camera but used my iphone to get these shots, one swan was trying to get comfy on the nest
walking on a Canada goose swam on up the lake
I did go back later with my camera and got some photos, one of this swan
What was on the duck house, well a goose had taken up residence to nest
The next week I took the dog for a walk and had seen the swan on the nest as I walked past it was feeding in the reeds the nest untended, I crept closer and spotted two eggs in the nest. Later she was back on the nest again. The mail swan took offence and three Canada geese and was chasing them up the lake where the ran out of space and flew off, I should have brought my camera. I'll find out more when I go back next time.
Take Care
It's so nice to see those beautiful birds there in the springtime getting ready for nesting season.
