Very nice indeed. A friend of mine built his entire kitchen from salvaged wood; he did sand it down and varnish it but various marks from rusty nails and a few random splits gave it great character.
Thank you John. My wife suggested I made something like the flowers from an old Pallet I had a water tank delivered on and as I was reasonable at woodwork I went ahead and made some flowers. I'm not sure my skills would extend to making a a whole new kitchen though.

DeleteBeautiful additions to your garden trellis. I like it you've kept the grain of the wood showing and imaginative way you've painted the petals.
ReplyDeleteThe paint was already on the wood it was the colour they sprayed the pallet the wood came from. I sanded some of it away to give a better effect
