Not someting I would normaly take a photo of but this is the M4 toll in Wales as you come off the Prince of Wales bridge. It closes in December so after that it will be free to use the bridge. I will be going a different way that weekend so to miss the work removeing them and the jams it will cause. Enjoy the blue sky you see over the Toll
I won't miss doing this as it can queue back a couple of miles at times waiting to go through
Happy Skywatch
I smell gasoline. Köh, köh.
ReplyDeleteHello, pretty sky. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day. Have a great weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky, and lucky you if you can avoid this toll and the backup it causes!
ReplyDeleteI imagine that could be tedious. The skies are pretty.
ReplyDeleteToll booths aren't removed very often are they?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue skies, I'm surprised they're removing the tolls
ReplyDeleteYou are smart to avoid that construction or should I say "destruction ".
ReplyDeleteThe only toll booth we ever drive through these days is when we are heading south over the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. No one has to come to a full stop anymore. The booths take a photo of the license plate as you slowly drive through and send you a bill in the mail. Seriously crazy, but no more major traffic jams.
ReplyDeleteI'd heard that charges might be reduced or abolished, but never really thought it would happen. Apparently it will benefit the economy of S Wales if the crossing becomes free - blue sky thinking!
ReplyDeleteyes I remember as a child driving to Auckland city with mum and dad and seeing the traffic tolls there, once they were taken down and the motorway done up they introduced cameras that would take photos of your numberplate and you had to pay a fine online to cover the expenses. Different places in NZ have the same thing to cover similar road expenses too.
