So we planted these lastyear or so but they never came to anything till I noticed this flower growing in the flowerbed looking like a seeded onion, it then flowered and turned into this Agapanthus, boy was I chuffed seeing it come up at last
Hopefully Next year I will have some more
Beautiful flowers
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Gorgeous sky, too. I see a lot of these in the gardens here in S CA.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful flowers. I'll be interested to see what happens next year.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I can't recall hearing of that before.
ReplyDeleteI knew the name and I knew the flower but had never made the connection before.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the woman at the Cambridge Botanic Garden it's a very good year for Agapanthus - one of the few flowers that thrive in such hot dry conditions. Your flower is obviously listening to what she says.
ReplyDeleteSuperb!
ReplyDeleteVery cool flower!
ReplyDeleteAbout 10 years ago when I first moved to the house I used to live in in Phoenix, the former owner had a set of large flower pots on the patio that I kept and re-planted. I think it was my second year there that this very same flower popped up one day looking quite pretty. I never knew what they were but, someone must have planted them way before I moved in. Now I know!
ReplyDeleteAh agapanthus! We have them growing here too. Beautiful flowers.
