The beginning of April saw my wife & I at Fforest Fields for the weekend. I noticed there was a mountain bike event on. The first round of the Scott ATB Challenge
I only had my compact so the photos were taken in only a couple of
places near the water stop
The entrants heading off from the stop
most people stopped
and ate while riding
the odd wave was given
Smiles for the camera
grins or heads down
round the corner
help yourself
one guy came in on the back of the motorbike carrying his bike
Dropped off the motorbike headed off again
more munching on the go
older competitors
getting down to it
one of the women competitors
Look I got a banana as he waved on his way past. I took a lot of photos but these are just a few. If I find out of another event I'll take my DSLR
Fantástica esta sequência de fotografias.

ReplyDeleteReally wish I had my DSLR and zoom with me
DeleteReally great photos!
ReplyDeleteThe turned out better than I hoped
DeleteHow fun! I love that guy carrying his bike on his back and the guy with the banana is great.
ReplyDeleteYes that amused me as well
DeleteLooks like a muddy experience but also alot of fun.
ReplyDeleteSeriously muddy but they seemed to love it
DeleteFantastic action shots, you did very well with your compact.
ReplyDeleteCheers Bill
DeleteExcellent shots! It does look like it got muddy.
ReplyDeleteCertainly did
DeleteDon't know how the rules work in England, but where I'm from that motorcycle guy would be cheating.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo essay!

I can see the appeal...but part of me just keeps thinking about how miserable cleaning the bike is going to be!
ReplyDeleteEasy they uses a powerwash
DeleteWow, eating on a bicycle while riding through mud...now there is grim determination! However, my young brother (he's now 50) does many rides for charity, especially cancer research because he has survived two different kinds of cancer. I admire him all to bits, but he just laughs it off. Now I must ask him about eating while biking through mud!
