I visited a church in the grounds of this place the other week, it used to be Nuneham House home of the Harcourt Family
I took the photos on my way back from the church
But had a walk through some of the grounds on the way to the church
Quite stunning giant sequoia tree
and equally stunning view towards Oxford
below an ornamental stream
Back past the leaning tree
And this contemplation Temple
I walked past this Mulberry tree that was split down the middle
and noticed it was strapped together using a load strap
Taking Part in Our World Tuesday
Belas fotografias e árvores fantásticas.

DeleteMagnificent building, I could get used to meditating in a place like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place. That sequoia tree is spectacular and the leaning tree is also quite a sight to see. Such beautiful grounds!
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand place for a walk. I am surprised to see a Sequoia there, makes me want to do some research to see how it got there. Lovely images!
ReplyDeleteAmazing trees! Had no idea there were sequoias in England.
ReplyDeleteI'm not totally surprised that one would grow and even thrive there, but of course it got there by being imported and planted. It is odd to see one there, and also to see it growing so much by itself. I'm used to seeing groves of them in our neck of the woods :)
DeleteWhat gorgeous scenery. I love the trees, and I too had no idea there were sequoias in England. Thanks for taking us along for the walk, I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful property!
