Theses were taken many years ago when I went with my wife to York. The photos were taken on 35mm film so have been scanned up. I only took a few photos at the time
The castle which I never had time to visit
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the Shambles
Amazed the narrowness of the streets still exist
The Famous Betty's Tea rooms, I never got the chance to visit this place either
Not sure which gate this is with the steps leading to the wall
But they look impressive
And you can see York Minster
Which is even more impressive.

Great reminders of what a beautiful city York is. I haven't been there for many years but must make the effort sometime.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful city, well worth revisiting although I was disappointed about some of the modern buildings built close to the walls of the city. The design didn't enhance the city one little bit.
ReplyDeleteGostei de ver estas antigas fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

Impressive!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a great set of photos! I've never been to York and I really would like to go. York Minster alone would make the trip worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteI love the digital camera, but some days I miss shooting on film.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words

ReplyDeleteYork Minster particularly catches my eye, Bill.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of a wonderful town ~ lots of history!

Gorgeous old city. I never seen a street that narrow, it's lovely to see. Lots of interesting history in this town. Thank you for the tour!
ReplyDeleteTakes me back to my visit to York a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteCool! that looks worth a visit.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it funny how few pictures we used to take back when each one cost real money?
