So Boxing day the day after Christmas I decided to go out for a walk around and see if there was any work happening down at the Railway Station. though I did hear some odd noises coming from the overhead lines. No work seemed to be going on so I did a few updates and turned around to go home I heard something behind me and saw a something go past. After going back up to the carpark I spotted this cherry picker with a work gang
They were obviously going to do some work on the overhead lines
and from the look it was changing an insulator, this must have been the funny noise I heard coming from the overhead lines earlier, the men working on the insulators. I left them to get on with their work and went home
Taking part on Our World Tuesday
The skies look wonderful, just right for a walkabout. There was so much work on the railways over the holiday. I am sure you already know that London Bridge and Charing Cross were closed for 10 days over the holiday.
ReplyDeleteYes, Christmas always seems to be the time the do the work
DeleteIt's work that has to be done, after all.
ReplyDeleteI heard the announcement on Christmas Eve, "Due to engineering works there will be no trains on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Please visit our website for full details". What more did I need to know?
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind of work that could be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteNice skies for a day of work there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they had nice weather to do their outdoor work.
