A festive countdown. We used to have a lot of advent calendars when my daughter was young. She loved opening the little windows. We saved them through the years but every year we would buy a new one and add to the rest. When she was older and moved, she took them all.
At church on Sunday, the pastor handed out Advent calendars, with windows of candy, and which, like your clocks, start on December 1. The pastor explained to the children that Advent is when we “wait for Christmas.” One little boy looked at the candy and the dates and looked at the pastor and said, “Why can’t we start waiting on November 26th?”
