Campsite Bridges

My wife found this campsite 20 odd years ago and since then we have been coming back on a regular basis. When we first came there were a series of small bridges crossing the stream that filled the ponds on site. Over the years they deteriorated and this year I noticed they were replacing one

This was the first one that was put in, it replaced a bridge over to the right of it

It was a couple of months before I returned and  I noticed the rest  had replaced  one which was a covered bridge

Another a small humped bridge

This one had a Chinese feel

Another with a Chinese look to it, the old bridge was to the right

The next day I went for a walk to the small pond with my dog and came across this bridge

The small pond

right at the end was a bridge that was built back in 2009 and still going strong

One last thing before I go, I noticed a bird head on one bridge

Then on another bridge, I wonder how many more I can find.

  1. Cute! Looks like bridges for the sake of bridges, but they are fun :)

  2. I wonder if the bird head is the "signature" of the bridge maker? I like the Asian inspired ones best.

  7. Looks like most of the bridges replaced were wooden Bill, perhaps weather worn making them dangerous. The new bridges will soon get that 'old and well used' feel 😊 How exciting to find the bird head detail, keep those peepers open for more 😊
