The other week my wife & I went to the British Museum not the best experience but I will tell you about that in another blog. I took photos of a lot of different murals so will be showing a few in the coming weeks. Fist was taken in the Egyptian section
Part of the exhibit you see walking in the room
I presume this is the Pharaoh on the throne
And this is the complete Mural
Taking Part on Monday Mural
I guess we can say Egyptians were amongst the first muralists. ;-)
ReplyDeleteFantastic. I haven't to the British Museum for ages...now I want to visit :).
ReplyDeleteAmazing detail. This exhibit, or a very similar one came to our art gallery a few years ago. We took our classes to see it as we were studying Ancient Egypt. The kids were fascinated as was I.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought you were on holiday in Egypt.
ReplyDeleteI love all things ancient Egyptian so these really appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. That's like a look into my history book.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this Egyptian art with us. :)
Great place to photograph murals!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good one - and so very old!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Probably not the oldest; that honor goes to one of the ancient caves.
ReplyDeleteAncient Egypt always fascinated me.
