Bubbling up
On Tuesdays I posted some photo showing the steps at Wallingford Bridge with the Thames Flooding, well just prior to going there I went to a supermarket in town where I saw this drain bubbling up. I took a photo & posted on Twitter where it was seen by Simon Parkin of ITV weather. Tuesday evening I went back to get another photo of the river and took this photo of the drain which was 24 hours after the first.
The photo I took the previous night before was shown on the TV weather Tuesday after I went out & I missed it at least my wife saw the photo.
Cool!
ReplyDeleteI was impressed
DeleteFame at last. I'm surprised they didn't ask for your permission first.
ReplyDeleteHe did tweet he was going to use it that night.
DeleteNow the sewers are backing up? Uh oh, that's not good......

ReplyDeleteEEK - that's a tad spooky! Great shot though. YAM xx
Not the sort of thing you expect to see in a town
DeleteVery cool, being at the right place at the right time for a capture like that.
ReplyDeleteAlways have a camera on you is the rule
DeleteEeeek! I don't want to think what might be in that water. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's also a really nice night shot!
Don't worry it was OK as I have not heard anything untoward about it
DeleteI'm not surprised your photo was picked up. It was impressive. I love this one, another super photo and I too love the glow in this one. A very dramatic scene with the water bubbling through like that. Hope you have a drier Sunday Bill. I like the occasional rainy day but when it causes all kind of chaos, not so much.
ReplyDeleteThe glow is caused by the streetlights. I hope it is dryer but It will be a while before we are dry out
DeleteVery cool shot!
ReplyDeleteAnd it was still bubbling away today
