The Plough


The Plough at Kelmscott a typical English Village pub. Did not stop on the occasion but I do know someone who did.

 It also has the remains of a preaching cross nearby

  2. This Pub looks lovely ! I love Pubs ! when my son lived in London, during the years I went to 60 Pubs and did drawings of the people there ! Was a lot of fun !

  4. Beautiful old building ..we loved English pubs. Not sure what a preaching cross was...need to google that,

    1. Just that, a visiting holy person would preach a sermon from that spot usually near the church or village green

    1. They tend to me medieval or as far back as the Saxon times
