The Blade

The Blade is an office block which dominates the town of Reading, the name comes from the sharp end of the building.

The photos were taken from the carpark at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and as you can see below the building is taller than the surrounding town

HAH - was thinking as I saw the first one that I was reminded of cathedrals, then saw the smaller second one with the church spire in front and - yup - it is definitely cathedral-like! Love that second one BTW. YAM xx

    1. It's unusual for being away from London and quite pleasing to look at. I thought the bus might have set off first.

  5. So glad you posted this shot as I saw that building many times during my travels to and from the Thames path but I had no idea what it was.
