The other week was the full moon so I thought I'd try and get a photo of it, the photos were taken with my Compact camera so I was at a loss as to how it come out.
The ring round the moon with clouds passing
On full zoom I was surprised I could see so much detail, not bad for a compact.
Taking part in Skywatch Friday
Great capture !
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend
Thanks considering it was a compact I'm happy with the result

ReplyDeleteYaay Bill! This is one of my favourite things to do - am always amazed at the close-ups myself, but often it is the standard focals which give the 'atmosphere' and that top photo is an "ab fab"!!! Could be a painting...I love it. YAM xx
Thank you I may try this again on a full moon
DeleteWow! Nice shots. That's some camera that you have. The close up makes the moon seem so very near by rather than millions of miles away.
ReplyDeleteIt's a compact with a 20x zoom
DeleteAre you tricking us?
ReplyDeleteFor one I cannot imagine a compact camera taking such a good shot and secondly the first photo has cloud in the back ground?
I do like that second shot though.
No I'm not tricking you, it was the compact if you check the tab at the top of the page with Cameras on it you can see the one I use.
DeleteMagnificent moon!

DeleteMarvelous photos of the full moon. Gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
