The Village of Pembridge




These photos were taken quite few years ago when I was heading down to a Builth Wells to meet up with my wife. I had wanted to stop off at the village and on this occasion I did just that. Pembridge is a village situated on the A44 which is an old coach road not far from the Welsh border
  








These are  Duppa's Almshouses in Bridge Street, founded in 1661






I doubt the sign is that old but the wording could be






Ye Olde Steppes which I think used to be the post office






This is the Market Hall






where you can find an information board on it




This place is not as old as a lot of the other buildings but it did used to be a shop, & when I published it on Geograph a lady who used to live there emailed me to say thank you for showing it.

The market hall and the Kings house restaurant which used to be the Greyhound. The village also has a church called St Mary with a seperate belltower which I have written a blog on
