Re your comment on the lasting power - I notice that most modern murals mutate and change on a regular basis so the answer would be 'no'... however they have folk like you to document them!! Meanwhile these are super. YAM xx

  4. Re your comment and Mike's comment at «Louis'» Tomato Soup post... Heinz, does in fact, market a line of soups. Heinz is more successful with their canned soups in the U.K. than they have been in the U.S. Heinz-label soups in the U.S. are rarely seen, but the company successfully makes private label soups for supermarket chains such as Safeway. On the other hand, in the U.S., Heinz virtually owns the ketchup business. Heinz ketchup outsells all other brands combined.

The Campbell's Soup company was founded in Camden, New Jersey by Scottish immigrants. Their iconic "Campbell's Soup Kids" advertising often showed the "kids" dressed in kilts.

  5. It's incredible how long lasting some pieces can be. The ravishes of time seem to spare some things. Thanks, Bill, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
